Open Minded.

Sullivan is a senior and current analyst in the Ohio University Student Equity Management Group. He’s a Copeland Scholar from Milwaukee, WI, and majors in Accounting and Business Analytics with a minor in Spanish. Coming from an accounting background, Sullivan has enjoyed learning a lot about the finance field and all the opportunities available. He has taken the technical knowledge gained from OUSEMG and applied it to his academic and personal life and is extremely grateful to work with an intelligent and driven group of individuals.

Outside of the group, Sullivan has taken part in Ohio University’s men’s club soccer program as a goalkeeper his freshman and sophomore years. He was also the treasurer of OU’s chapter of the National Spanish Honors Society during his junior year. As mentioned above, he has been a Copeland Scholar all four years at OU. Sullivan believes that finance and accounting can be combined to gain an in-depth, holistic knowledge of an individual business and the broader market. OUSEMG provided him with space to use his accounting background in a finance-based environment. The group also earned him impactful career opportunities such as an internship at EY. Upon graduation, Sullivan will begin working for the Auditor of State’s Office in Ohio to become a CPA in the next 1-2 years.

Outside of the classroom, Sullivan enjoys working out, spending time with friends, watching the Green Bay Packers own the Chicago Bears every single year, and traveling. He’s been to Australia/NZ, Europe, and Costa Rica. During middle school, he and his family moved from Milwaukee to College Station, TX. His travels have helped him gain a more open mind and a desire to meet new people. Sullivan has enjoyed getting to know everyone in OUSEMG, learning their stories, and helping the group grow.
