Dedication + Persistence = Magic
Keegan Baic is currently a sophomore analyst at Ohio University’s Student Equity Management Group. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and has lived there his whole life before moving to Athens, Ohio to attend Ohio University in the fall of 2023. Keegan is a Finance major looking to add a minor in Data Analytics shortly. Keegan believes that his dedication and persistence have gotten him to where he is today and is blessed to be a part of such a prestigious group. “Being a member of OUSEMG has taught me so much both personally and professionally. I’ve grown exponentially as a person and look forward to continuing my academic career surrounded by such an intelligent group of people.”
Outside of OUSEMG, Keegan is the VP of Finance for his fraternity, Beta Theta Pi, where he budgets and manages all the financial duties for the 90-member organization. He believes that gaining experience in his field of interest now will propel him to great success in the future and is optimistic about his subsequent opportunities while still at Ohio University and beyond. Keegan is currently looking forward to future internship opportunities in the field of Investment Banking and is also open to all paths that the financial field entails.
In Keegan’s free time, he loves staying active. Physical activity has always been Keegan’s favorite activity since a young age, as he has played sports since he can remember. He is a firm believer in sports being extremely beneficial for people, especially young kids. “Being a part of a team teaches you about accountability and being there for one another.”
Outside of sports, Keegan is a volunteer for the Miracle League of Western Pennsylvania where he helps disabled individuals play the great sport of baseball through on-field assistance for players and setting up events. Other hobbies Keegan partakes in include weightlifting, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, spending quality time with family and friends, reading, and playing poker.
