“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift… that’s why they call it the present.” – Master Oogway
Self-Taught.
Joe is a senior and a current analyst in the Ohio University Student Equity Management Group(OUSEMG). He is from Philadelphia, PA, and is studying finance and business analytics. Joe has served as a head analyst for OUSEMG for two semesters, pitching companies such as General Electric, NVIDIA, and First Solar, among others. He has also leveraged the educational aspects of the equity management group to prepare for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) exam after graduation.
In addition to his involvement with OUSEMG, Joe is a financial planning intern for Carpenter & Associates in Athens, where he enjoys meeting with clients for portfolio reviews and researching potential investment opportunities. Beyond financial planning, Joe participated in the Global Consulting Program in Thessaloniki, Greece, during the summer of 2024. He highlights how his work with the ABB Group significantly enhanced his experience with client interactions in industries beyond financial and retirement analysis.
Throughout his four years at Ohio University, Joe also served as the treasurer for the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and as a recruitment ambassador for the Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Center. After graduation, he plans to move to Charleston, SC, where he is pursuing a wealth management role centered around financial planning.
Outside the classroom, Joe enjoys working out, surfing at the Jersey Shore, and watching the Philadelphia Eagles with his brothers. He finds fulfillment in achieving long-term goals, as demonstrated by teaching himself to play guitar over the past two years and training for his first half-marathon in April.
