Lending a Helping Hand.

Branson is a sophomore and current Analyst in the Ohio University Student Equity Management Group. He is a Finance and Data Analytics major from Medina, Ohio. Branson enjoys building relationships with current members of the group, networking with alumni, and learning about their careers. He also has learned valuable skills in equity research, financial modeling, and public speaking which he hopes to leverage throughout his career.

Outside of the group, Branson is the Vice President of Relations for the Financial Management Association. In this position, he maintains relationships with Ohio University alumni in Finance and seeks out new professionals to speak to the group, developing his networking and interpersonal skills. He finds value in connecting students interested in a career in Finance with the available opportunities. Branson is also the Director of Membership for The Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre where he utilizes his analytical skills to transform survey data into reports including recommendations to benefit the organization. These activities have expanded his leadership skills and allowed him to help others. He is most interested in a career in Finance where he can apply his interpersonal and technical skills to help clients achieve their goals. This summer Branson will be an investment intern at Wellspring Financial Advisors, where he hopes to expand his knowledge of the Wealth Management industry.

In his free time, Branson enjoys golfing, snowboarding, traveling, and is a Cleveland sports fan. He is passionate about continuous self-improvement and enjoys reading. Branson emphasizes being involved in his community. In Medina, Ohio he was involved with the Matthew 25 Outreach food distribution event helping the community. In the future Branson hopes to utilize the skills he has learned in the group to be successful in the Wealth Management industry and give back to his community while supporting college students beginning their careers.
