"The person who loves to walk will walk further than the person who only walks to reach a destination.”
Well Rounded.
Ben is a sophomore and serves as a Head Analyst within Ohio University’s Student Equity Management Group. He is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and is double majoring in Finance and Business Analytics where he has maintained his position on the dean's list for three consecutive semesters. This summer, he intends to intern locally with DayMark Wealth Partners to pursue his career goal of becoming a financial planner. During his internship he plans to gain experience in financial planning, working with clients, and financial analysis.
Ben’s dream career path is to work at a small financial planning firm and eventually start his own firm in Cincinnati. Ben tells us that “being able to help those around [him] meet their financial goals is of utmost importance in order to give back to [his] community”. He is currently studying to pass the SIE in his junior year, which will serve as a foundational step to advancing his career in financial planning. He aims to achieve this goal by taking leadership roles in student groups and networking with those around him to continue to gain insight and knowledge.
Outside of the group, Ben is also involved with the Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre serving as the Director of Professional Development, where he is responsible for organizing workshops and events for over 650 students. In his free time, he enjoys participating in the tennis and pickleball groups on campus, playing basketball, and going to youth group on Wednesday nights.
